Digital products are all the rage right now and it makes sense! Digital products are relatively easy to create, they are your very own product and they sell like crazy! Also, with so many different types of digital products, almost anyone can find the perfect digital product to sell online. So if you haven’t dipped your toes in the world of digital products yet, now’s the time!

While there are plenty of digital product options, I like to group digital products into 4 categories.

Graphics/Creative

Audio/Video

E-books/E-courses

Software/Apps

It can be hard to decide which products or product areas fit best with your skills and brand. That’s why I created a little quiz so you can see which type of digital product you should create. Just click below to start your quiz!

Now that you have a better idea of what area suits you, let’s go over some of the different digital products you can create and sell online.

1. Presets

Ever wonder how some of the most beautiful Instagram accounts all have a cohesive look? A lot of this is thanks to presets! Presets are essentially a filter someone has created that gives all pictures a certain look. You can create a preset by editing your photos a certain way, saving those edits and then marketing and selling these unique filters or presets. This can be a great option for photographers and social media gurus alike.

Pricing Estimate: $2 – $20

2. Website Themes

Website owners, especially content creators, are always looking to make their websites stand out. While there are plenty of free website themes available, it’s easier to add a unique and appealing look with a website theme not many people have. You can also add unique features and add-on’s to your theme to make it more desirable for potential buyers.

Pricing Estimate: $30 – $300

3. Photography/Stock Images

If you are a photographer or even like taking high quality photos, you could sell your images as stock photos. You could offer a bundle of related pictures or you could sell images individually. Website owners and content creators are always looking for high quality images to feature on their sites and to use for different content. It can become hard when the same stock photos are used by tons of different people. This is a great opportunity to make some money from your photography skills.

Pricing Estimate: $.50 – $15

4. Fonts

Did you know you can create and sell fonts? Neither did I! Again, many website owners and content creators are trying to offer a unique look and a brand that demands attention. Just like colors, fonts are a really important part of branding. This is why many website owners are willing to invest in unique fonts.

Pricing Estimate: $10 – $75

5. Stock Videos

Video is the way of the future and it can be a super effective marketing tool but not everyone knows how to film or edit videos, and not everyone has the tools and resources to do so. If you have videography or producing skills (even just skills beyond the average person), you can create and sell stock videos. These videos can be great marketing and advertising tools for business owners.

Pricing Estimate: $50 – $200

6. Podcasts

While most podcasts are free, you could create a podcast or specific podcasts that are paid. You could also sell your podcasts in a bundle or sell older podcasts that are no longer available for download.

Pricing Estimate: $5 – $30

7. Audiobooks

Audiobooks are another digital product you can create and sell. You can turn a book you already have into an audiobook or you can just start with the audiobook. Audiobooks are becoming more popular so this is a great option to tell a story or share some information in audio format.

Pricing Estimate: $15 – $30

8. Templates

Templates is kind of a generic term but there is a lot of potential here! You could sell resume templates, sales scripts templates, legal templates, sales funnel templates, home safety plan templates and the possibilities are really endless. If it solves a problem and makes people’s lives easier, your template could be gold! This is also a great option for all niches! Odds are you can find some type of template that will be useful for your viewers.

Pricing Estimate: $5 – $80

9. E-Book

E-books are also a great option! If you are a blogger or enjoy writing, this could be a great opportunity to share some knowledge in the form of an e-book. You could write about your experience as an online entrepreneur, as a parent, as a teacher and more! You could even write a fictional story if that’s what you’re in to.

Pricing Estimate: $3 – $10

10. E-Course

My absolute favorite digital products are e-courses! E-courses are a great way to train on specific topics and create a comprehensive learning experience. You can offer video lessons, workbooks, quizzes and more as a part of your course. This is a great way to turn your knowledge, skills and expertise into a higher priced digital product that helps your customers learn something new.

Pricing Estimate: $50 – $400

11. Apps

If you’re a little more technically advanced, you can create an app. The nice thing about apps is that you can easily incorporate ads to make money or you can offer a paid app. You could create anything from games, to useful tools, to a recipes app and more.

Pricing Estimate: $.99 – $9.99

12. Software

And if you are even more technically advanced, you can create some type of software. You could create a new video editing software, accounting software, scheduling software, budgeting software and more. People are always looking for ways to make their lives easier so if you can create a software that does that, you might have hit the jackpot!

Pricing Estimate: $20 – $300

Consider this..

Another aspect to consider is whether you want to offer one high-end, high-priced product OR if you want to offer smaller, cheaper products. There isn’t a right or wrong answer for this! It depends on your preferences and what types of digital products you want to create and sell.

As you may realize, the product options are endless so get creative and find the product that works for you and your business. There many more digital products to create and sell online, so don’t limit yourself to this list.
